Course Description
Start your DAX journey here! This course will take you from a complete beginner to an intermediate user of DAX within Power BI, while teaching you some useful shortcuts and best practices along the way! The course begins by providing a tour of the Power BI ecosystem. Next, you will learn how to connect to real sales data stored in a SQL Server database and quickly set up relationships between tables.
Then, the DAX fun starts! We learn how to create Calculated Columns, Measures, Implicit Measures, and cover the very important topics of Row and Filter Context. These terms might sound scary, but this course was designed for complete beginners. Experienced DAX users can also brush up on some of the DAX basics to progress even further toward mastering DAX.
I teach this course the way I would have liked to learn DAX. It’s a difficult language and mindset to grasp, and I do my best to make it easy and understandable for first-time users. Best of luck on your DAX journey!
