Winning Report #1

by Andy Murphy

Thoughts from the BI Elite team:

Whoa. This is one of my favorite Power BI reports of all time! This report reads like a book. I advise you to dive into the above report to form your own opinion, because this summary can only do it so much justice. This single-page report tells the entire story of GME stock and WSB forum activity in an easy-to-read fashion, breaking down the most important points of the saga.

The styling is on point! Andy made the style look so similar to a reddit post that at first I thought that he managed to embed Reddit itself. If you're a Reddit user like me, you will appreciate the perfect styling and frequently-used WSB emojis. Up top, the jumbotron visual and moving stock tickers are a great way to grab your attention in the very beginning.

There's plenty more to say about this report, but I'll highlight just two more points in this excellent report. After several sections of visuals, Andy adds another "reddit comment" to explain what the user should take away from the charts. Some users might not understand what they should be gleaning from a visual, so it's nice to hold the user's hand if needed. Lastly, since WSB comments are riddled with profane language, Andy adds a clever bookmark to censor/uncensor the WSB data. Even better, it's censored by default and requires the user to choose to uncensor, almost like accepting a Terms of Service. Love it!

Amazing job, Andy!

Winning Report #2

Thoughts from the BI Elite team:

I love this report for it's real-world usability! If you're like me, you play the "What If" game when buying stocks. "If I bought X number of stocks on a certain day, how much money would I have made?" Amedeo takes all of the uncertainty out of it with the "STONKS Simulator" tab.

A couple of things to note on this page: Amadeo has used the new Smart Narratives visual to provide a dynamic representation of text data. He also added multiple data sources: BB, NAKD, NOK, and DOGE prices! Really went the extra mile.

The WallStreetBets tab has some great features as well! The word cloud paints the perfect picture of the level of maturity you can expect from WSB posts. There's also a really nice dynamic drillthrough button that requires you to select a single stock to analyze related Reddit posts. Love this feature! These are my favorite tabs, but the entire report is very well done! It's apparent that Amadeo spent a lot of time putting this whole thing together.

Winning Report #3

Thoughts from the BI Elite team:

This report is clean, simple, and paints a very nice picture of GME trends over time. I like this report mostly for it's ability to showcase information in a simple way (MAX 1-2 visuals per page) while providing clean navigation options. The use of the PowerBI.tips layout creates a nice looking report relatively quickly!

Eyitayo went a level deeper by providing YOY and MOM calculations. Very nice use of time-intelligence calculations to explain the direction that the GME stock has travelled throughout the years.

Very well done, Eyitayo!
